Scales of Death

Campaign Overview

Scales of Death is an active D&D 5e campaign set on the continent of Librith — a land still defined by a war that ended a thousand years ago. Eight native races were pushed into a quarter of their original territory by a human and elven alliance. The survivors built what they could in the Wildlands, watched their neighbors carefully, and waited. Twenty years ago one of those neighbors — the human kingdom of Cadrye — fractured. The eastern half rose, won, and became Argen. The lesson was not lost on the Wildlands. Border tensions have been climbing ever since.

Into this comes the party: five people who started as hired hands and became something the wrong people noticed. They've extracted a prisoner from a cult, taken in an unlikely ally with a mysterious passenger, and ended a politically arranged marriage by killing the groom. The world is layered, the politics run deep, and the consequences of that last decision are still arriving.

The campaign is currently in the final days before Ash's transformation. As the road leads north, threats loom ahead, and lurk behind.

Quick Navigation

The Party

Five people who, by all accounts, should not function as well together as they do. A serpentine gunslinger with a chemist's patience. An arcane engineer who relates to mechanical systems better than to people. A gummy bear with a holy mandate and impeccable manners. A half-orc guard who got dragged into something larger than his post. A ranger who walks between two worlds and carries the weight of both.
